 suse 11.1 rc1
Is anyone else trying to test rc1? It is a disaster!
It has more bugs then the last beta, it installs parts of kde3 and parts of kde4! I hope they can get it fixed in the next week since the final is supposed to be ready next thursday.
I have been using suse 11.0 since it was in alpha, its a very good version! Suse 11.1 will have to really go some to be better, ked4 is no where near ready to replace kde3 but the rc1 boots it as the default!

This is why I don't do alphas, betas, or rc#. I tend to get a version I like and stick with it.
Heck, I used Suse 10 Pro for almost 3 years before I upgraded to Opensuse 10.2.

I have not liked any of the dot 1 releases that I tried....
8.1 & 10.1 where not very good, and 9.1 gave me nothing useful
I will try 11.1 when it goes gold.. but not on any of my main machines

Agreed with mushroom, the dot 1releases tend to be a bit iffy since it went open. I hope they have learned from their mistakes

Since I have only two machines and both need to work, I'm going to wait a bit before installing 11.1. I'm still using 10.3, and from what I've seen of KDE4 its not quite ready for a production machine yet. I'll probably load both kde 3 & 4 just to play around with 4. I'll run a torrent when it comes out and wait to see how the bug-stomping goes afterward.
