 audio volume in audacity
I loaded audacity that comes with Novell disk openSUSE 11.1 on my Linux machine. On my windows machine I downloaded a copy of audacity off the INTERNET. The windows version has much higher volume with vista than my Linux copy. I checked all the volume control features and raised them to maximum but there's still not enough volume. Any suggestions? I"m using a microphone for live recordings. I could install a preamplifier on Linux but why should I need one with Linux and not with vista?
